comments=My great,great grandmother Elizabeth Sarah Courtney Harris is said to have been the granddaughter of a daughter of the Earl of Devon. This daughter is said to have been disowned by her father when she married a sea captain. The sea captain's name could have been Harris as Elizabeth's father was Edward Harris. Elizabeth was born in Exmouth. At this point I do not have any exact dates. She could have been born about 1820 as her husband Daniel Close was born in 1817.
