comments=My g.g.grandfather was Francis Courtney. I believe but am not sure that he was born between 1849 to 1856 (his age differs everytime I find him). His parents were John Courtney and Mary Ann Wilson. When Francis married for the 2nd time to my g.g.grandmother (I don't know who his first wife was or whether they had children) he gave his address as 15 Charlotte Place, Belfast and hers was Marlborough House in Dec 1882. When he died in 1908 I believe his parents were both deceased. He was supposed to have been a shops captain at one stage in his life as Mary Jane (his 2nd wife) travelled with him and they had their 2 daughters adopted by the first engineer McKenzie, so that she could travel with him. Mary Jane was supposed to have worked for an MP in Ballemena before she married but I haven't been able to confirm that either.Does anyone have Francis in their family tree???
