ancestor=Sir William Courtenay, 8th Earl of Devon, 1762-1785
comments=Sir William Courtanay, 8th Earl of Devon, had 13 daughters, most of whose marriage history is known. My great grandparents and their descendants claimed that my great great grandfather, Dennis Sullivan (b. 1785, d. 1858) was the result of a liason between a Captain Sullivan serving in the British Army, and one of the daughters. Eleanor was b. 1772, but died young in 1789, unmarried. Elizabeth (1765-1815) married Lord Somerset and was said to have had words with her father around the time of her wedding before he was sent to South Africa as governor of the Cape Colony in 1808. Anything relevant?
