Just beginning my wife's genealogy. Her mother was Esmee Doreen Courtenay (b. 20 Jun 1912 in St. Blazey, Cornwall, and later married Derek Lawler Piercy Edwards).   Esmee, in turn, was the daughter of Leonard Treloar Courtenay and Edith Marie Bennett (d. circa 1946-47).  Esmee's brother was Lionel Courtnay.  I am unaware of other possible siblings.  I believe Leonard was a younger son of the then present Earl, but have no further information regarding him.

Can anyone please provide hint(s) as to how I might best proceed?  I would be most grateful (as would my wife, Adrienne Carole (nee) Edwards); in return, I would be pleased to forward extensive information re descendants of Esmee and Derek (who were both interned with their son, Nigel, in the Stanley POW in Hong Kong by the Japanese for the duration of WW II).
