Leonard Walter (de) Courtenay

address1=Altvolberg 20
ancestor=Leonard Walter (de) Courtenay
comments=Wild theory: he might have been a son of Lavinia Frances Courtenay nee Graham. Reason for this assumption: he was said to have been a cousin of Lavinia Frances' niece.

Question: Did any Courtenay marry a woman named Lavinia Frances Graham (b. 1791)? Possible connection with the Grahams of Netherby?

Birth of Leonard Walter Courtenay: about 1831 (where?)
Death: unknown
Seems to have been raised in Stade, Hannover, Germany.
1849 probably a university student in Germany.
Religion: anglican or lutheran or reformed. Confirmation Stade, (Hannover, Germany) 1845.

Photograph in my possession, format of a visiting card, taken about 1860/1870 by Abdullah Freres, Constantinoples, Photographer of His Imperial Majesty the Sultan.
During the 1840s mentioned as a close friend and relative to families von Hassell / Cooper / DuBourdieu then in and about Stade, Hannover, Germany. Possessed an album; contributions between 1840 and 1847 in German and English by members of said families. Including Lavinia Sally Anne Dubourdieu (mother of Lavinia Frances Graham) who might have been his grandmother. (Dubourdieu was the name of her third husband; Graham was the first.)
