comments: Hello

I'm researching my family history and I thought the Courtenay Society might provide me with some assistance to overcome an obstacle I've met.
My 8 x great grandparents were John Clobery b. circa 1650 (of Bradstone, Devon) and Elizabeth COURTENAY 1656 - 1699 (daughter of Sir William Courtenay, 1st Bt., of Powderham Castle).

Did this John Clobery marry twice, 1st Elizabeth Courtenay, 2nd Anne Cranmer?

Who was John Clobery's father?

Is this John Clobery connected to / or the same John Clobery who assisted General Monck in restoring Charles II to the throne?

I believe the Clobery family was a very established family in Bradstone, Devon for 100s of years and with the link to the Courtenays by the above union, any additional information by Courtenay Society would be very much appreciated.

Are there any Courtenay Society members that have the same individuals in their tree?

Regards, Daniel Benest (from Jersey, Channel Islands)
