comments: I am seeking more information on Humphrey Courtney born abt. 1828 in Glenflesk, County Kerry Ireland, DOD 1902 in New York, his wife is Johanna Bradley DOB 1835 Ireland and DOD 1912 in New York. Also looking for information on his father Dennis Courtney born abt 1793 in Ireland and his father Humphrey Courtney born in Ireland. Any help is appreciated.

Humphrey Courtney had 6 sons and 7 daughters. Humphrey Jr., Pat, Daniel, Maurice, Charlie, and Charles Dennis (my grandfather) went to Montana in the last 1800's early 1900's. They made their money mining iron ore and pink manganese. They made their fortune doing this for WWI and built a hotel in Philipsburg, MT in 1912. It is now a museum and cultural center there. Very neat town and lots of Courtney's still there. Each year they plan a Flint Creek Valley Days in July. Wouldn't it be awesome to have the largest family reunion ever???
