My great grandfather, Isaac John Courtney, was born in County Clare,

Ireland c. 1853. He was in the Royal Irish Constabulary 1871-76. After he was dismissed, he came to Tasmania Australia and married Elizabeth Alice Phillips in 1883. I believe his parents were Isaac Courtney and Margaret Ardell, Protestants, married in Kilkee (registration district Kilrush) on 18 September 1846. I would like to know more of both of these, and their forebears.
