comments: I am looking for information regarding the parents and siblings of Elizabeth Courtenay m. Humphrey Audley. They had at least one daughter, Philipa who was born in 1596. Her descendants married into other families of the nobility like the talbots (shrewsbury) and Hadleys. Any information about these individuals would be greatly appreciated.
Please send all requests for Courtenay related information to the email address above.

ancestor: Eleanor COURTENAY who married James ANDERSON
comments: Eleanor COURTENAY was the wife of James ANDERSON. Their daughter Jane/Janet ANDERSON married William McEWEN/McKEOWN at Sixmilecross, Tyrone, Ireland in 1857. By 1861 William and Jane McEwen were living in Ayrshire, Scotland, where they had 7 children. Their 3rd child, James, was born and baptised at Sixmilecross in 1866.
Jane McEwen nee Anderson died in Ayrshire, Scotland in 1899, and her parents are listed on her death certificate as James Anderson and Eleanor Courtenay. Her death was registered by her husband, William McEwen, and that both her parents were both deceased at the time of her death.
Does anyone know anything about Eleanor Courtenay?
Many Thanks
Wendy

Lewis Courtney d. at Aghadalgon, Ireland on the 1st Sept 1889
fname: Carol
lname: Appleyard
address1:
city: Hartlepool
country: England
e_mail: theappleorchard@ntlworld.com
ancestor: Lewis Courtney
comments: My grandmother was Ann Jane Heatley nee Courtney born 1909 in Aghadalgon, Glenavy, Co Antrim, N.Ireland she died 2004, her father was Solomon Courtney 1867-1948, and his father was called Lewis Courtney who died at Aghadalgon on the 1st Sept 1889. He build the house and I think bought the farmland, still owned and farmed by the family called "Rivervale" on Chapel Hill in Glenavy. I know very little about Lewis, I think he was born c1845 but not sure where and was married to Elizabeth Kane. His will states his effects to be worth 121 and the farm was left to my greatgrandfather Solomon also known as Sammy.
I would love to know more of his origins or from anyone connected to this branch of the Courtney family
